The waiting game.....

Book two is slowly coming together. The hardest part of writing books (for me) is the waiting that always takes place. Waiting for ideas to come, waiting for the words to express those ideas to fall into place. Waiting for editing and then my favorite and the hardest part - waiting for the illustrations to come!

I'm waiting very patiently here and since I have nothing to do but wait here are some things to keep in mind about writing your very own book.

* There are people out there to help with any aspect of writing a publishing your book.

A professional editor can either edit your work for content ( tell you what works in your story and what doesn't, tell you where you need more information and what could be cut, etc) or technical aspects (grammar, spelling and the like.)

A book coach (like the lovely lady I am working with) can help you get your story done and out there while providing the support you need to get it done!

An illustrator can help with any pictures your book needs and a graphic designer could help you do your cover and inside book formatting.

Next up on the blog - what to think about when hiring an illustrator!
